This is a story of God at work in ordinary lives—and we invite you to step into it with us.

A church-planting mission’s trip to Salt Lake City in 2012 started it all...

Our Story

God began stirring something long before we ever planted Gospel Grace Church in Indiana. At a young church in Salt Lake City called Gospel Grace Church, we saw firsthand how God was using faithful leaders to impact their community and those who came alongside them on church planting trips. What we didn’t fully realize at the time was that God was planting seeds in our own hearts—growing a burden to see more gospel-centered, Christ-exalting churches established.

Over the years, multiple trips to Salt Lake City and Detroit deepened that conviction. What began as a simple road trip grew into a shared calling among a small group of leaders, including Mike Foley, Hack McPhee, and Mike Schoenrock. In the spring of 2021, they began to pray more intentionally and open their lives to whatever God might have for them. While faithfully serving at Noblesville Baptist Church, they were lovingly supported and eventually sent out to pursue church planting. During this time, God also brought together others who were eager to link arms in this mission.

Through small groups, conversations over coffee, and seasons of biblical counseling, God was quietly preparing hearts to live on mission together. By December 2021, there was growing clarity that God was leading toward planting a church in central Indiana. By March 2022, attention turned toward the rapidly growing areas of Fishers, Fortville, Ingalls, and Pendleton. While we are thankful for many faithful, gospel-preaching churches in the region, the continued growth of these communities made the need for more healthy churches clear.

After exploring several meeting locations, the team committed to gathering at Hamilton Southeastern Intermediate & Junior High School (HIJH), where we began meeting with a soft launch in July 2023 and officially launched to the community in September 2023. As the church continued to grow, God was at work in ways we could not have planned. In late Fall of 2024, He led the leadership teams of Grandview Church and Gospel Grace to begin praying and exploring what it might look like to join together. By March 2025, God graciously provided a new home for Gospel Grace in what had previously been Grandview Church.

We are deeply thankful for how the Lord orchestrated this partnership—bringing together a church with a long and faithful history and a young, growing church plant—united in a shared desire to make disciples and advance the gospel. It is a clear reminder that this has always been His work, and we are grateful to be part of what He is doing in this community.
