Before entering full-time ministry, Hack earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and served for over five years as a police officer with the Fishers Police Department. He then pursued theological training at Faith Bible Seminary, equipping himself for pastoral ministry, and has been serving faithfully since 2009. As a certified biblical counselor and Bible teacher at Legacy Christian School, Hack is passionate about preaching God’s Word and connecting with people in their spiritual journeys.
He and his amazing wife, Kristen, have been married for over 20 years and are blessed with five children. The McPhees are a blended family of three biological children and two adopted through foster care. When he’s not serving in ministry, Hack enjoys reading historical non-fiction, downhill skiing, and cheering on the Oregon Ducks.

Mike Schoenrock
Elder
Mike serves as an Elder at Gospel Grace Church and leads our Gospel Grace Students ministry. He was part of the original team that helped plant Gospel Grace and has been serving the church since its beginning.
Growing up as a military kid taught Mike adaptability, a love for people, and the value of strong community. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from Pensacola Christian College in 2012. In 2016, he moved to Indiana to serve as an intern at Noblesville Baptist Church, the sending church that helped plant Gospel Grace. During that time, he also attended Faith Bible Seminary.
Mike is passionate about teaching God’s Word, discipling others, and helping people grow in their relationship with Christ and connection to the local church. He enjoys serving across all ages and loves seeing people become rooted in the gospel and engaged in the life of the church.
Outside of ministry, Mike enjoys sports, especially fantasy football and baseball.
Peter Whitehouse
Elder
Peter married the love of his life, Sara, in 1986. Together they have three adult daughters and ten grandchildren.
Prior to moving to Indiana, Peter served in various ministry roles at the same church in New Hampshire for 32 years. After relocating, he served as a Deacon for three years and an Elder for three years at Noblesville Baptist Church before beginning his ministry as an Elder at Gospel Grace in 2025.
Sensing God’s call to devote himself more fully to ministry, Peter pursued certification as a biblical counselor through ACBC in 2024, was ordained later that year, and completed a Master of Theology degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2026.
At Gospel Grace, Peter is actively involved in the Biblical Counseling Ministry, oversees Community Groups, and enjoys opportunities to preach and teach God’s Word. He is passionate about helping others grow in their love for God, His Word, and His church.
When he’s not serving at church, Peter enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, leading a neighborhood Bible study, and playing pickleball.
Deacons and Pastoral Resident
Shane Harris
Deacon
Shane serves as a Deacon at Gospel Grace Church and has been part of the church since its earliest days. As a member of the original church planting team, he faithfully helped lead the setup and teardown efforts during our time meeting at the school, embracing the opportunity to serve wherever needed.
Shane and his wife, Amanda, are blessed with three children and have a heart for serving the church family together. They gladly embrace opportunities to meet practical needs, encourage others, and help strengthen the life of the church. Shane is grateful for every opportunity God gives him to serve His people and desires to live a life marked by faithfulness, humility, and purpose.
When he’s not working or serving at church, Shane enjoys reading a good book and making memories with his family through new adventures and shared experiences.

Professionally, Matt works as a Brand Protection Advisor with Ecolab. In his free time, he enjoys reading, cheering on the Indiana Pacers, and spending time with family and friends.
